2026 Poetry Celebration

To celebrate National Poetry Month, the Ashe County Public Library is collecting poems from local poets of all ages. The poems will be featured in a chapbook, and each poet will receive a free copy. We will include the poet's first name or pen name with their work.

A Few Rules for Your Poem:

• Minimum of 3 lines.
• Maximum of 1 page.
• Must be original and unpublished.
• Must be appropriate for family reading.
• One entry per person.

• Email [email protected]. Please include your name, age range (child, teen, or adult), and contact information.

Submissions will be accepted April 1 through April 30, 2026. We can't wait to read them — happy writing!
