This announcement is a happy one, for all the adventures and challenges Elizabeth will have, as she becomes youth services librarian at Hendersonville Public Library. The move brings her closer to family and opens new career opportunities. The sad part is that we are not able to clone her! We will miss her creativity and infectious laugh.
Over the years, children who started out learning to read with support and good recommendations from Ms. Elizabeth are now finishing school. Parents have fond memories of story time visits to the library and Art in the Park programs. Many have come to know and love her online presence through Monday Mayhem and Baby Songs. She has a calming manner with children, demonstrating alphabet crafts that make learning fun. One parent shared that when she began homeschooling, Ms. Elizabeth’s encouragement gave her confidence and the library’s safe space was a haven for her children.
October 4 will be Elizabeth’s last day at our library. Drop by and wish her well, or leave a note via Facebook. We want to send her off with lots of library love!
